WEIGHT LOSS AT WILBRAHAM HOLISTIC CENTRE
Data from the National Diet and Nutrition Survey, published in 2003, shows that UK adults eat too much saturated fat, sugar and salt, not enough dietary fibre and, on average, their fruit and vegetable intake is fewer than three portions a day.
A recent consumer survey carried out by the Food Standards Agency revealed that knowledge of what constitutes a healthy diet is actually quite high. Most of the adults surveyed knew which kinds of food they should be eating more of, such as fruit and vegetables, or less of, such as fat and salt.
The rising number of people becoming overweight also tells us that, for a variety of reasons, this knowledge about diet is not being translated into positive action to achieve a healthier diet. It seems that the demands of life in the 21st century has lead us neglect one of the most basic ways to maintain good health. Many people who come to me for help with weight loss tell me that their life style demands make it ”too hard” to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I often ask ”what is too hard” for them, as something being “too hard” is often a belief based on illogical evidence. How many times in the past have we felt something to be “too hard” before overcoming that challenge as stronger people with a sense of pride and achievement. If you, like me, are one of those people who has benifited from challenges in the past then maintaining a healthy lifestyle will prove to be easier then you ever thought it could be with hypnosis.
I offer a three session approach, the first one identifying your current eating habits and empowering you to set goals that are achievable for you to make the changes you want to, using direct suggestion targeted at you when your motivation is at it’s highest. The second giving you techniques to help maintain those changes and reinforcing those new eating habits and the third giving you techniques to maintain your new eating habits for life.
Please be advised that I am not a nutritionistand therfore will not be offering nutrition advise. For people who feel they would benifit from this kind of support consulting a nutritionist prior to hypnotherapy is always advisable.
